Since there is no statute of limitation on the offense of murder, the state of Texas has a moral and statutory obligation to pursue cases to a successful resolution or until no other lead is viable. Law enforcement must devote every effort to investigate these crimes to the fullest extent for the victims and their families.1

There are approximately 19,207 unsolved homicides in the state of Texas.2
