‘Charlie Sky,’ as she was affectionately called by family, was a student at Bayou Cane Adult Education Center at the time of her death.1 She loved to sing and dance, and aspired to be a model and a professional makeup artist.2

Shantell is survived by mother Lauralee Pollard-Lee and stepfather Ronald Lee, companion Tay Mcguin, brother Xavier Robinson, sister Savannah Pollard, and maternal grandparents Joe and Elizabeth Drones. She is interred in St. Joseph Cemetery.3

Shantell elected to be an organ donor and, through her donation, saved multiple lives.

Crime Scene

Shantell cold case homicideAt around 10:35 pm 10/31/17 deputies responded to a shooting on Park Avenue in Marydale Subdivision, just outside of Thibodaux. They discovered Shantell sitting in the passenger seat of an SUV, bleeding from a head wound and unresponsive. She was transported to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and later to Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge,4 where she succumbed to her injuries 11/03/17.

According to her mother, Shantell left their house with friends less than a half hour prior. They planned to spend Halloween night on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, after dropping the friend’s children off at a sitter’s.
