DelRico Lamont Anderson, 23, was murdered 03/13/06 in an early morning drive-by shooting on Highway 1, just outside of Alexandria, Louisiana.1
Born in Inkster, Michigan, he lived in Alexandria about six years prior to his death. He worked at various restaurants in the area.
DelRico is survived by daughter Le’Asia, father Bennie, eight sisters and seven brothers. He is interred at Knollwood Memorial Park Cemetery in Canton, MI.2
Crime Scene
DelRico and passengers Royce Reall Taylor, 25, and Christopher Allen Thomas, 19, were returning after a night of clubbing in Avoyelles Parish (Secrets in Mansura and Jackie’s Lounge in Marksville). At around 4:30 am an individual in a late model silver/gray Chevrolet Lumina pulled along side his 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass and open fired, at least four times, with an AK-47.3
Taylor and Thomas were not injured in the crime; however, DelRico died en route to Rapides Regional Medical Center. The fatal bullet entered his body through his left shoulder. Investigators believe he may have known the person that fatally shot him; however, they could not establish a motive.3
