Jamin LaRod Robinson, 21, was left for dead after being struck by a vehicle 07/23/10 in Independence, Louisiana. He succumbed to his injuries 07/25/10. The driver fled the scene.
He loved his family, his church and his work.1 He is interred at Holly Gardens Cemetery in Hammond.
Crime Scene
Jamin was found just before 11pm lying in a ditch on Kemp Street, near his Kraft Road residence. He was barely alive, suffering from critical injuries when found. He had no open wounds, and there was no blood at the scene.
He was taken to Lallie Kemp Hospital, underwent surgery at St. Tammany Medical Center, then transferred to New Orleans University Hospital where he died 07/25/10.2
A motive has not been determined, and no arrests have been made.3 The Independence Police Department led the original investigation before it was turned over to the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office.4
