How You Can Help

7 Easy Ways to Help

  1. Pass Along a Tip – Got information? Contact the investigating agency listed on the case file, or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or crimestoppersusa.org. << INSERT FORM FOR MY TIPS >>
  2. Share on Social Media – Visibility matters. Share our case summaries on Facebook, X, or Reddit to get fresh eyes on older cases. Whether you re-share our posts, someone else’s or create your own, getting the word out makes a real impact!
  3. Opt-In Your DNA. If you’ve taken a DNA test through Ancestry or 23andMe, upload your raw data file to GEDmatch, FamilyTreeDNA, or DNA Justice and opt-in to law enforcement matching. Your profile could help forensic genealogists identify unknown victims or suspects.
  4. Contribute Case Research. Have a detail, document, or lead that could add value to an S&J case profile? We welcome contributions from independent researchers, local historians, and community members. Submit your notes via our [Contribution Form].
  5. Attend Local Vigils. Show up for victims and their families. Attending candlelight vigils for homicide victims and missing persons lets grieving families know their loved ones are not forgotten.
  6. Join Public Searches. When local authorities or family-led advocacy groups organize public search efforts for a missing person, volunteer if you are able. Extra feet on the ground are always needed.
  7. Fund Public Records Requests. FOIA requests, court document fees, archival retrievals, and travel to/and from scene locations etc cost money. You can help keep our investigative research moving forward by purchasing a true-crime related domain from our portfolio, or making a direct contribution to our records fund.
